The 2021-2022 season is over. We thank all those who supported the orchestra as it found ways to keep making music despite the Covid-19 challenges.
Please check back to this website over the summer to discover what the 2022-2023 season holds in store.

Inaugurated in 1983, the Civic Orchestra of Victoria is a volunteer organization dedicated to providing an opportunity for musicians of varying ages and abilities to perform a wide repertoire of orchestral music for supportive audiences in the Capital Regional District. The orchestra performs four to five concerts each year starting in September and ending by June.
The Civic Orchestra of Victoria will be holding auditions near the end of July for the following Principal chairs in the orchestra:

- • Viola
- • Cello

Grants Coordinator and Board positions
The Civic Orchestra of Victoria is seeking a Grants Coordinator for our 2022-2023 and future concert seasons.
The Grants Coordinator will apply for and reconcile grants with funding agencies currently supporting our organization and seek out new funding opportunities that will allow the Orchestra to continue and to augment its activities. The Grants Coordinator need not be a member of the board of directors. This volunteer job can be done remotely and requires strong writing and basic budgeting skills. In a typical year, there would be 2-3 applications and then follow-up reporting at the end of the season or project. Support from existing board members and past grants coordinators will be available to anyone taking up the position.
The board positions of President, Vice president and Treasurer must also be filled for the new season. The incumbents are stepping down from their roles on the Board to focus on their careers. We thank them for their years of service to the Orchestra, the Board of Directors, and the community! Do you have a bit of time each month to support and promote our vibrant community arts organization? We are looking for volunteers to stand for election at our upcoming AGM in the fall. Interested parties can stand for any Board position, but we are specifically in need of a President and Vice President. Previous board experience is not required, but would be an asset.
If you are interested in applying for any of these positions, or for further information, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
